Friday Night Sew In...

I got some sewing done yesterday....

I made 2 more blocks for my Log Cabin Spools.  I haven't worked on it for a while.  I want to try and make a couple of blocks each week.  It is and will be a long going project.  I like how it is turning out.

The other day while cleaning up in the sewing room I came across these blocks.  Don't remember what I was going to make with them.  I decided to sew them together and make a Table Topper.  I'm hoping to practice some free motion quilting on it.

I made the first 2 blocks for the Temecula Quilt Co. Blessings quilt.  They are so cute.  The 3rd block is out but I ran out of steam.

I really enjoy these Friday Night Sew Ins.  I seem to get so much done.

Woke up this morning with a very sore throat so not doing much today.  Although it is beautiful out.  But no energy.

BTW.. Happy Saint Patrick's Day to all.

I Almost Forgot to Tell You

After we got back from visiting my son and his family Terry and I went to a quilt show.
It was the Great Lakes Heritage Quilters Quilt Show.

It was fun and the quilts were beautiful.  Best of all I ran into friends I hadn't seen in years.

Here are the quilts....Enjoy!

A friend of mine worked on this quilt.

A beautiful Antique quilt.

The owner of the Antique quilt did a modern version of it.

As you can see I am partial to hand appliqued quilts.  I hoped you enjoyed my little quilt show.  Hope you are working on something quilty today.  Me...I'm attaching the second border to my Scrap Squad quilt.

My Design Wall

With being on the Scrap Squad I am working on something I can't show.  So I took a few days off to work on some projects.

Here is the next round of my Jubilee Quilt.

I paper pieced the border blocks.  I'm hoping to have time today to sew the border on the center block today.  I played with a lot of different blocks on EQ and like this one the most.

I also made a few more Spool Blocks.

I only get to make a few blocks at a time but at least it is growing.  Some day I make actually make a quilt from these 5" blocks.

Here is a sneak peak at the second Scrap Squad quilt....

This is going to be the second border of the quilt.  Once done with this I have one more plain border and then I can decide how to quilt it.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting.  Wishing you a quilty day.

Hugs, Cathy
